Happy New Year!
Keystone Region Volleyball Association wishes everyone a happy and healthy 2024! We are now in the middle of boys' club season, and girls' season is about to start. Here at KRVA, we're ready to host teams at tournaments beginning January 20th. We've got some new and exciting things happening at our tournaments, from giveaways to contests and more!

Did You Know?
The longest competitive men's volleyball match that made it into the
Guiness Book of World Records is a second round qualifying tournament match that lasted 1 hour 53 minutes. Anders Lund Hoyer and Bo Soderberg (Denmark) defeated Jian Li and Shun Zhou (China) 17-21, 31-29, 24-22 in Moscow, Russia, on 1 July 2008.

KEYSTONE MEMBER SPOTLIGHT
This January we are starting a brand new web series in which we highlight one Keystone Region Volleyball member each month.
We will randomly select a current KRVA member (athlete, coach, admin, or referee) and interview them with some fun get-to-know-you questions.

WE'LL MISS YOU
We've learned that one of our officials, Larry Fetterhoff, is retiring from officiating after a storied 47-year career. Larry has made countless contributions to both the sport and officiating throughout the years. Larry became a certified Junior National referee in 2002. During that time, he officiated many high-level matches and mentored many of our up-and-coming officials. Larry retired from his Junior National rating in 2017 but continued to mentor and contribute to our referees. There was rarely a moment when Larry would not be talking with a referee, coach, or whoever and offering invaluable guidance. He will be sorely missed on the court and in the referee room. |

STAY UP-TO-DATE WITH TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

We will send an email out the week of the event containing a link to the tournament schedule, and updates regarding potential traffic or weather concerns, etc. All lists will be purged at the end of the season. AROUND THE WEB
Last month, a new NCAA Women's Volleyball indoor attendance record was reached. There were 19,727 spectators in attendance at the final match for Nebraska vs. Texas. Not only that, the match was broadcast on ABC, a first! Volleyball is growing and this is proof.
